“Leaders instill in their people a hope for success and a belief in themselves. Positive leaders empower people to accomplish their goals.” – Unknown
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” – John Quincy Adams
This month has been more focused on resetting and preparing for the rest of the year. I’m excited about what we are doing and what we are going to do while we are in this pandemic. At the Seattle chapter of Youth for Christ, we’ve been concentrating on worship and prayer.
At Cultured, we will be developing key leaders, disciplining them, and building them up to disciple others. These key leaders have already started working alongside us and I am encouraged by them.
Their dedication to each other and the team has been remarkable. While I was away at our staff retreat an on vacation, the girls decided to continue practicing, praying together, and meeting even though I was gone. They really are becoming true leaders and it’s definitely exciting to know that they are dedicated without me pushing them.
Therefore, I know that this school year, we will see some true growth through small groups and leadership development. I’m so excited!
- Pray for the new school year.
- Pray for volunteers.
- Pray that we hear from God how He wants us to focus our team this year.
My mother, Bridget Haynes, is a cancer survivor. I was able to spend time with her and my family on vacation at my sister Janelle’s house in Tampa. My mother had a hard year with treatment plus the fact that my sister and I were not able to be there for her physically. It was a blessing for me to be there because we got to be together as a family and that hasn’t happened since last year around this time. That was my highlight this month.
