Champions for Christ
Being a champion requires you to see yourself as a champion. The Bible says in Proverbs 23:7, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” The way you see yourself will dramatically affect how you live your life.
God has called this generation to live a definitively different life by exercising creativity, standing as warriors, and by becoming Champions.
The students have survived this tough season of loss both in normal, social life and in being able to connect with people. As we now come to the end of the school year, we have begun talking about how to ‘Keep Pulling’ for the Lord: pulling through frustrations in school, difficulties in our personal lives, and in our relationship with God. Through it all, we are pulling each other up and taking steps to become Champions.
In May, we had our second in-person gathering for Cultured. We had a total of 50 students show up to this event, but the best part is that we were able to come together with all our ministry sites: Monroe, Bellevue, and Everett, plus other groups in the community.
It was a super fun and exciting night. This was the first time we came together and we are excited for our future events. We hosted a basketball tournament, played games, our dance team and other groups performed, and illustrated word came forth.
This event was a building experience for us as a team and also allowed us to get our students connected to other believers and witness how they worship God.
